Its agents read your published content and propose a\nrewrite; you review each proposal as a diff inside Conqueror and decide whether\nto apply it.<\/p>\n\n<p>This plugin is the starting point inside wp-admin. It does five things:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Checks the three things that make connecting fail - HTTPS, application\npasswords, and REST API reachability - and tells you which one to fix.<\/li>\n<li>Gives you a button that opens Conqueror with this site's URL prefilled.<\/li>\n<li>Explains what Conqueror will and will not do to your site.<\/li>\n<li>Prints the revenue attribution tag, once you turn that on from Conqueror,\nso there is no snippet to paste into your theme.<\/li>\n<li>Lets an approved change update the title and description Google shows for a\npage, when the site uses Yoast SEO or Rank Math.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Nothing on this site changes until you apply a rewrite.<\/strong> Conqueror never\npublishes on its own.<\/p>\n\n<h4>What this plugin sends<\/h4>\n\n<p>Nothing. It stores no credentials, contains no tracking, and makes no requests to\nConqueror or any other external service. The one network request it makes is a\nloopback request to your own site's REST API, to check that an outside caller can\nreach it.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Search listing (Yoast SEO and Rank Math)<\/h4>\n\n<p>Google usually shows the title and description your SEO plugin prints, not the\npost title. Yoast SEO and Rank Math keep those in fields WordPress does not let\noutside apps change, so without this plugin a rewrite cannot reach them.<\/p>\n\n<p>With it, a change you approve in Conqueror updates the SEO title and meta\ndescription in Yoast SEO or Rank Math, and rolling the change back puts the\nprevious ones back. If someone edits them in the Yoast or Rank Math box after a\nchange was prepared, Conqueror refuses to overwrite that edit.<\/p>\n\n<p>Conqueror can only do this as the user you connected with, and only for posts\nthat user is allowed to edit.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Revenue attribution<\/h4>\n\n<p>Off unless you turn it on from inside Conqueror. When you do, Conqueror writes a\nsite key to this site over the connection you already granted, and the plugin\nadds a small script to your pages.<\/p>\n\n<p>That script sends nothing to Conqueror. It keeps a cookie on your own domain\nrecording which page a visitor first arrived on, and passes that to Stripe when\nthey check out - so Conqueror learns where a sale came from only when a sale\nhappens. Visitors who never buy are never reported anywhere.<\/p>\n\n<p>Turn it off in Conqueror and the tag stops being printed immediately.<\/p>\n\n<p>Access is granted by WordPress itself, through the core application-password\nscreen (<code>wp-admin\/authorize-application.php<\/code>), which you approve while logged\ninto this site. The plugin never sees the resulting password. Revoke it any time\nunder <strong>Users \u2192 Profile \u2192 Application Passwords<\/strong>, or by disconnecting in\nConqueror.<\/p>\n\n<h4>A Conqueror account is required<\/h4>\n\n<p>The plugin is a connector; the service does the work. Conqueror is a paid\nthird-party service operated by Conqueror. See\n<a href=\"https:\/\/winwith.conquerorapp.com\">the site<\/a> for terms and pricing.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Install and activate the plugin.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>Conqueror<\/strong> in the wp-admin menu.<\/li>\n<li>Fix anything the readiness panel reports as failing.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Connect this site to Conqueror<\/strong>, choose your project, and approve the\nconnection on your own site.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"will%20it%20publish%20or%20change%20my%20posts%3F\"><h3>Will it publish or change my posts?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Not on its own. Rewrites are proposals you review and apply from inside\nConqueror. Nothing on the site changes until you do.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20work%20with%20yoast%20seo%20and%20rank%20math%3F\"><h3>Does it work with Yoast SEO and Rank Math?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. With this plugin active, approved changes update the SEO title and meta\ndescription those plugins print. Ask your host to enable it, or\nuse the manual connect form in Conqueror.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"how%20do%20i%20disconnect%3F\"><h3>How do I disconnect?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Revoke the \"Conqueror\" entry under <strong>Users \u2192 Profile \u2192 Application Passwords<\/strong>,\nor click Disconnect in the project's settings in Conqueror.
